Vukashinovic's injury, criminal charges filed against Milan Radoicic and members of the Serbian army

A criminal complaint against Milan Radoicic and the Serbian army was recently filed, five days after the wounding of northern Serb Milan Vukashinovic inside Kosovo territory.
Lawyer Ivan Ninic has announced that on behalf of Milan Vukashinovic's mother, he has filed a criminal complaint with the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Prokuplje, for the criminal offense of "attempted aggravated murder", against unknown persons, who are suspected of being members of the Serbian Army, the police or Milan Radoicic's group.
In his public announcement, Ninic emphasized that five days have passed since the incident and that no one has given any official statement about the shooting of Vukashinovic.
"I have proposed 15 investigative actions to the competent prosecutor that must be taken urgently, because otherwise it is clear that there will be an attempt to hide everything or to direct it in the wrong direction as has happened many times before. Especially now, when it is not even known whether Milan will survive," Ninic declared.
He has sharply criticized the silence of institutions, saying that "people in Serbia are arrested for social media posts and statements, while a man is shot like an animal in a hunt and no one reacts."
"The family is not allowed to visit him, the bullet has not yet been removed from his spine, while the doctors, the prosecution, the army and the police - all are silent," he stressed.
Lawyer Ninic also mentioned the lack of reaction from state officials, including the head of the Office for Kosovo, Petar Petkovic, as well as the silence of the media and the opposition.
"No reaction from either the state or the opposition. Two media outlets in Belgrade did not dare to publish the news in real time, while in Prokuplje people are speaking in low voices. This wall of silence is the greatest shame of our system," Ninic wrote.
According to him, the case of Milan Vukashinović shows "the deep degradation of society and the lack of any sense of human and institutional responsibility."
According to the latest reports from the Kosovo Police, the incident is reported to have occurred on November 1 in an area known as "ground zero", near Leposavic, on the border between Kosovo and Serbia.
In June, a video was released in which Vukashinović openly expresses his position.
He said that the Serbian List had exerted various pressures on him and that he had been asked to abandon his work in Kosovo institutions.
The case raises suspicions that the injury may be related to Vukašinović's public stances towards the Serbian List. According to public materials, Vukašinović has been an active critic of the Serbian List. /Telegrafi/
