FIFA President Gianni Infantino was awarded the Medal of Honor by Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani at a ceremony organized on Wednesday in Pristina.
Infantino spoke after receiving the medal, saying that it is a great honor for him to be honored by a wonderful country like Kosovo.
"It is a great honor and a great pleasure, a great emotion and a great happiness to be here in my home, in Kosovo. And to accept this great honor, this medal from you, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, my friend, on behalf of a wonderful country like Kosovo."
"Kosovo today and Pristina today is the capital of the world, right? Of the world of football... but as we all know, football is the most important thing in the world, so it is the capital of the world," Infantino said.
The world football leader dedicated this medal to the former president of the Albanian Football Federation, Fadil Vokrri.
