Founded on March 14, 1994, in a challenging period for Albanian books, education and culture in Kosovo, the publishing house “Dukagjini” today marks the 32nd anniversary of its founding. Created with the initiative and dedication of a group of creative people and intellectuals, this publishing house was created with the mission of keeping Albanian books alive and contributing to the development of culture and education in the country.
This date is considered of great importance not only for “Dukagjin”, but in general for the history of the book in Kosovo. During these 32 years, this publishing house has contributed to the enrichment of culture and education in our country through numerous literary, scientific publications and translations by world-renowned authors, as well as through textbooks that have become part of the learning process of several generations.
To mark this anniversary, the publishing house "Dukagjini" has decided to undertake a symbolic and at the same time beneficial initiative for the educational community: the donation of a considerable number of school textbooks to school libraries across Kosovo. Through this donation, the aim is to enrich the book fund in school libraries and promote the reading culture among students.
This initiative is a sign of gratitude to the readers, teachers and students who have been an integral part of the journey of this publishing house over the years. At the same time, it reflects the ongoing commitment of “Dukagjini” to support education and promote books as an essential value of society.
