The National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection has demolished three illegal villas that were being built without a permit in Sauk, Tirana, with a controlled explosion.

The footage was shared on social media by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who warns that the operation will not stop.

"Expensive villas cannot be built for profit purposes to the detriment of the law and at the expense of the community. The operation will not stop anywhere and in front of anyone, until no one thinks at all that they can build square meters without a permit," Rama announced.

We recall that five IMT employees, an engineer and a technical manager, have been arrested in the case in question. Six other people have been declared wanted, including administrators.
