In a few months, Apple will introduce a new version of the iOS platform, which will initially be available to developers.
Apple has announced the Worldwide Developer Conference 2025 (WWDC 2025) for June 9, and within the framework of this event the company will introduce the new versions of its operating systems: iOS 19 and iPadOS 19.
The platforms will be immediately available to developers and application creators, reports Telegraph.
The Cupertino company will implement some design elements from VisionOS into the new software.
While official design changes and a list of supported devices are not available, a tipster known for his accurate predictions has shared a list of iPhone models that should be eligible for the iOS 19 upgrade:
iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus
iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max
iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus
iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max
iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus
iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max
iPhone 13, iPhone 13mini
iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max
iPhone 12, iPhone 12mini
iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max
iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max
iPhone SE (2nd generation or newer)
This means that the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max will reportedly not receive the iOS 19 update, as these phones do not have the A12 Bionic chip.
All other iPhones should have iOS 19, with some advanced features limited to newer iPhone models.
Apple Intelligence, for example, only works on iPhone 15 Pro and newer devices. /Telegraph/
