"I knew he would remove me from the game always after 60 minutes", the Barca star hits Xavi hard

In an interview with Spanish outlet El Pais, Barcelona striker Raphinha expressed his frustration with the way former coach Xavi had managed substitutions during his time at the club.

Raphinha has been shining under Hansi Flick this season after previously being linked with a possible move away from the club.

While he gave his contribution in the first two seasons as well, the Brazilian representative did not have continuity, which caused him to receive a lot of criticism.

Things didn't always go well between Raphinha and Xavi, with the Brazilian already expressing his frustration with the way the Spain legend had taken him out of the game on several occasions.

The former Leeds United man said he always knew he would be substituted in the 60th minute regardless of what he did on the pitch.

"It's more complicated here. I laugh because this has happened to me many times. It is not a criticism of Xavi".

"Subconsciously, I always knew I was going to be replaced. I tried to do everything for 60 minutes and nothing happened."

"And on another day, if things went the way I wanted, I would still be replaced during that time," said Raphinha./Telegraph/
