The Mayor of Gjilan, Alban Hyseni, has stated that the diaspora remains an essential part of Gjilan society and that the municipality will continue to strengthen ties with citizens living abroad.
Through a post on social media, Hyseni announced several new initiatives aimed at including and supporting the diaspora.
"Our diaspora is an important part of Gjilan society. We pledge to continue our support and strengthen the connection with our diaspora. We will create the Diaspora Office to better serve and be closer to every citizen of ours abroad," Hyseni wrote.
He emphasized that he will continue organizing the Diaspora Economic Forum., with the aim of bringing new investments and promoting economic development in the municipality.
"We have many new activities and initiatives planned for our diaspora," added Hyseni, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation between local institutions and compatriots in the diaspora.
