Enver Hoxhaj, who has announced his candidacy for the presidency of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, has said that he sees the election of the leader of this party as a political issue, not a technical one.

He said that he is working to ensure that there is competition in the PDK, and that even someone untested can compete.

"In what form we will overcome this political impasse, these are the expectations I have of myself, what I can contribute to a future PDK convention," Hoxhaj said at the Rubicon of Klan Kosova.

"Therefore, I do not see the election of the PDK leader as a technical issue, but as a very important political issue and I expect that the PDK, as a party that is committed to the liberation of Kosovo, which has been a force... these people, some of whom I have spoken to today during the day, and yesterday during the day, where I have made efforts to have a dialogue with them."

"I think that's what I'm working towards, so that there is competition. Someone else who is not untested can compete, they can lay the groundwork for someone else, they can say that Bedriu and I are no longer worthy of this job. We assign this job to ourselves. I assign myself my mission and how far we can push a certain political goal."
