Cleansing the face is one of the most important steps in the daily skin care routine, however, many people often make mistakes by washing their face too often or using products that do not suit their skin type.

Dermatologist Rejhane Bislimi-Berisha spoke about this topic in the podcast "Health First", supported by United Hospital, where she explained that facial cleansing should be balanced and tailored to the skin's needs.




"Facial cleansing is a very important step in daily skin care," said Bislimi-Berisha.

According to her, washing your face properly helps remove dirt, excess oil, and cosmetic product residue that accumulates during the day.

"The face should be cleansed regularly to remove impurities and keep the skin healthy," emphasized dermatology.

However, she warned that over-washing the face can have the opposite effect and damage the skin's natural barrier.

"If the face is washed too often or very aggressive products are used, this can cause dryness, irritation and skin sensitivity," said Bislimi-Berisha.

According to her, the most recommended routine is to cleanse your face twice a day – in the morning and in the evening – using products suitable for your skin type.

"It is very important that the products used are chosen according to the skin type, so as not to damage its natural balance," concluded the dermatologist.

Experts emphasize that a regular and balanced facial cleansing routine is the basis for maintaining healthy and good-looking skin.
