Speech therapist Luljeta Kabashi, in the podcast "Health First", spoke about speech disorders and delays in children as a result of spending too much time in front of screens.

Kabashi further emphasized that excessive use of technology is very harmful to a child's brain.

"…this is a very serious and very current topic, because it is taking on large proportions, not only in Kosovo, but throughout the world. Excessive use of technology is very harmful to a child's brain, including speech, the way they behave, and aggression at an early age."

"Technology is basically affecting speech because the child is becoming an echolalic who hears only repetitions of the words he hears on the device in front of him, and this is limiting daily development," she said.

Kabashi further said that children learn and increase their vocabulary at different times.

"If at two years old they have 200 words, at three years old they should have 3, 300 words to increase their vocabulary, so that this vocabulary also enables the development of intelligence. There is a close correlation between speech, language and intelligence," Kabashi said, among other things.
