The MP from Democratic League of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, has harshly criticized the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, regarding the processing of constitutional amendments on the last day of the deadline for electing the president.

Hoti said that, when it became clear that Osmani could no longer continue in that position, she decided to "challenge the institutions" by proceeding with amendments that, according to him, are contrary to the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of Kosovo.

"A desperate and comical attempt to change the rules of the game within hours, just for personal interests. This is not constitutional reform. This is political stupidity," Hoti wrote.

He added that, according to him, if Osmani had been nominated by "her boss," then none of them would have had a problem with the fact that the president is not directly elected by the people.

In his reaction, Hoti emphasized that the problem does not lie in the way the president is elected, but in the political mentality that, according to him, treats power as personal property. /Telegraph/
