According to a study, men from the Netherlands and women from Lithuania are the tallest nationalities in the world. Dutch men are 183cm tall, while Lithuanian women are 170cm tall.
New research published in eLife has tracked growth trends in 187 countries around the world since 1914.
The research found that Iranian men and South Korean women had the biggest change, increasing their height by more than 16cm and 20cm, koha.net reports.
Height charts are now largely dominated by European countries, but new data shows a largely westward growth trend.
The smallest man in the world has been found in East Timor, with a length of 160 cm. The smallest women are in Guatemala, a status this country has held since 1914.
