Former American diplomat Christopher Hill, on the second day of testimony at the Special Court, was asked why he decided to testify as a witness called by Hashim Thaçi.
"Time does not heal all wounds, as they say, but I think that after 25 years it is high time to think, first of all I have no reason to believe that Mr. Thaçi was involved in such activities, I have no reason to believe nor have I heard that he ordered such activities or other illegal activities. As I understand it, he has been detained for a certain period of time in connection with these matters. And I felt that I should say something about the situation," he said.
He spoke about the timing of the end of the war in Kosovo, the departure of Serbian forces and the entry of NATO forces into Kosovo.
He also spoke about Clinton's visit to North Macedonia at that time, where he thanked her for hosting Kosovar refugees.
