The initial hearing in the state reserves case against the acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, did not take place on Tuesday due to the absence of the accused.

Hajdari, through a post on her official Facebook profile, explained that she has not received any summons to attend from the Court, promising that she will appear at the next session as soon as the invitation is confirmed.

"Honorable citizens, for today's court session regarding the issue of state reserves of goods, I have not received any summons from the Court. The moment I receive the invitation for the next session, I will be present," Hajdari wrote, reports Telegrafi.

The trial also failed because the lawyer for the other defendant, Irfan Lipovica, was not present. Following the situation, the initial hearing was scheduled for January 13, 2026.

The presiding judge, Avni Syla, said that Hajdari had been sent an invitation by mail, but so far there has been no confirmation of her receipt. Only her lawyer, Florent Latifaj, was present at the hearing.

Of the other defendants, Hafiz Gara was in the courtroom with lawyer Nazim Mehmeti and Ridvan Muharremi with lawyer Mahmut Halimi, while Lipovica's lawyer, Feim Alaj, was absent due to a simultaneous invitation from the Basic Court in Peja. He had sent a legal representative and informed the court via e-mail.

The presiding judge added that the court had requested that Alaj find a legal replacement, but had not received his client's approval for this step. /Telegraph/
