Here's how many matches Rudiger is expected to be banned for after his scandalous action against the referee
Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger is facing a harsh punishment after throwing an object at the referee in a fit of anger after the Copa del Rey final.
In the final minutes of Real Madrid's 3-2 defeat to Barcelona in the final, Rudiger and his teammates were left frustrated after a referee's decision went in Barcelona's favour by stopping a Kylian Mbappe attack.
Rudiger was so angry with the decision that he reportedly threw an ice bag at the referee.
For this action, the German was punished with a red card, while Lucas Vazquez and Jude Bellingham suffered the same fate after their fierce protests.

After being sent off, Rudiger had to be restrained by some of the staff in order to prevent any possible physical attack on referee De Burgos Bengoetxea.
According to a report from SER chain, he could be banned for 4 to 12 games, which means he could be suspended for the rest of the season.
Another video released from the moment of the incident shows how Rudiger tried to throw another bag of ice, but was stopped by Los Blancos' technical staff.
"In the 120th minute, the player (22) Rudiger, Antonio, was sent off for the following reason: For throwing an object towards the technical area, which did not reach me. After receiving a red card, he had to be held by several members of the coaching staff, displaying aggressive behavior," the referee's report said.
