"He is wearing a black sweater with symbols" - many citizens join the search for Alp Krasniqi in Gjilan

A serious incident has occurred in the city of Gjilan, after 8-year-old Alp Krasniqi was reported missing.

The Kosovo Police and the Search and Rescue Service immediately launched a search to find him.

After the appeal for help, during the late hours of Sunday, many citizens joined in the efforts to find Alpin, who according to his family is autistic.

The police have taken swift action and launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of his disappearance, while the Search and Rescue Service has engaged a special team for intensive searches.

"Relevant police units, K-9 teams, KSF, search and rescue teams and numerous citizens are searching for the child born in 2016, who according to the parent's statement has not returned home."

"Anyone who has any information about his whereabouts should immediately notify the Kosovo Police in Gjilan at no. 192," said the spokesman for the Police in the Gjilan region, Ismet Hashani.

The search took place throughout the night and continued after 23:00 p.m.

Police continue to seek information from any citizen who may have seen any sign of Alp Krasniqi, and have invited those with information to contact authorities immediately.
