Haziri: VV is projecting a crisis, there is no will to build institutions

The Vice President of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lutfi Haziri, has criticized the delay in creating institutions after the February 9 elections, accusing Vetëvendosje of projecting a political crisis.

"It is evident that there is no will from the first party [VV] to quickly create the institutions that emerged from the elections. And this lack of will comes as part of the mentality," Haziri declared.

"This delay cannot be called a delay in building institutions, but a crisis. We have entered a crisis designed by the first party," he further emphasized.

He said, among other things, that Prime Minister Albin Kurti has not only fallen into the trap of Russian comedians, but also of the Ohrid Agreement.

Haziri has made it clear that LDK will not agree to follow VV under any circumstances in the formation of institutions, but neither will it artificially create an opposition bloc.

He has suggested that LDK could take responsibility for forming the government if the right circumstances are created.

"LDK, as a party that can receive the nomination, can create a majority and form the government. Tomorrow I believe it is ready for such developments," he emphasized on Debat Plus on RTV Dukagjini.

Haziri said that the Vetëvendosje Movement with its partners, which he is calling "organic", does not have sufficient numbers of MPs to conclude the issue of constituting the Assembly.

As for whether Vetëvendosje could get a deputy from LDK, Haziri said that he does not favor "political prostitution" and does not expect it, but that it happened during the creation of the previous legislature.

"Political prostitution is when you hunt without any criteria, without any conditions, to convince people, to take them to your camp for a number, because there the MP is not taken for granted, he is taken for granted"

"If we continue to lead politics of numbers, even the election campaign by Vetëvendosje was led by numbers, by 500 thousand, there was no talk of anything else, there was talk of 500 thousand, there was talk of numbers, they gave the numbers a free hand. Now if this continues with the hunting of MPs for numbers, it is a bad start to this mandate," Haziri said.

He said that in LDK there is probably no specific name that moves politically.

"In LDK, there are certainly no specific names that move politically, and I went from being an elected MP with a mandate to someone's number. Now there are political interests, political offers seem to have started in certain political camps, but not in relation to LDK." /Dukagini/
