LDK Vice President Lutfi Haziri has stated that the historic president of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova, was directly involved in an agreement with the then president of Albania, Ramiz Alia, for the creation of the first cells of Kosovo's armed structures.

In a live broadcast on Debat Plus on TV Dukagjini, Haziri said that on September 2, 1990, he was personally charged with organizing the first cells for the selection, preparation and sending of young people for military training in Albania, within the framework of this agreement.

"It is true that on September 2, 1990, I was tasked with organizing the first cells that aimed to select, prepare and send people for military training in Albania, according to an agreement between President Rugova and President Ramiz Alia," Haziri declared.

According to him, the implementation of this plan was later managed by other authorities, while well-known figures such as Afrim Gagica and Sali Çeku, declared Hero of the Nation, were involved in the field.

Haziri emphasized that the selection of young people was done very carefully in each area and municipality, by certain authorities, while the training was conducted in Albania based on the experience of the Albanian state in military recruitment and preparation.

Speaking about Albania's role, Haziri announced that the former head of the State Intelligence Service, Irakli Koqollari, was the first authority to implement this plan.

"He was the first authority to implement this plan," Haziri said.

Haziri's statements come after the publication of audio recordings on the Debat Plus show, which, according to him, shed light on Rugova's involvement in the early stages of organizing the resistance for the liberation of Kosovo.

Meanwhile, moderator Ermal Panduri has announced that Koqollari will speak about this topic on February 3 on Debat Plus, where additional details from the file in question are expected to be published.
