Haxhiu: The information is contradictory, we cannot know for sure that Faton Hajrizi was killed - an investigation is needed to clarify the truth

The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, has reacted to the reports about the murder in Serbia of the escapee from Kosovo prisons, Faton Hajrizi, and the cases of recent escapes.

The head of justice in Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, points out that through the former spokesman of Slobodan Milosevic's party (SPS), now its chairman and Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, the news was given that the escapee from prison in Kosovo, Faton Hajrizi, convicted of several serious crimes, was killed.

"The information these days was contradictory, so we cannot know for sure whether he was killed at all and if so, whether he was killed in the territory of Serbia or the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including other important and necessary details. for investigation. A wide and deep investigation is definitely needed to clarify the truth of this case", writes Haxhiu.

The Minister further emphasizes that it is important to highlight the fact that the escape of some persons who are being sought by the responsible institutions in the Republic of Kosovo is only taking place in one direction: that of the territory of Serbia.

"Information from our bodies suggests that, at least in some cases, these escapes were created, organized, co-organized and facilitated by criminal groups connected to power structures in the territory of Serbia", writes the minister.

Read tfull reaction of Minister Haxhiu:

The ethno-political use of the criminal act of killing a policeman in Lloznica by the Government of Serbia is unacceptable, intentional and premeditated.

Through the former spokesman of the party of Slobodan Milosevic (SPS), now its chairman and minister of internal affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, the news was given that the fugitive from prison in Kosovo, Faton Hajrizi, was convicted of several serious criminal offenses. , was killed.

The information these days was contradictory, so we cannot know for sure whether he was killed at all and, if so, whether he was killed in the territory of Serbia or the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including other important and necessary details for investigation A wide and deep investigation is definitely needed to clarify the truth of this case.

The acts of escape of some persons with a criminal record, who are serving a sentence or awaiting the execution of the sentence, have been systematically frequented recently in such a way that they could at least be qualified as a coincidence.

The act of killing a policeman and injuring another near Lloznica in Serbia are undoubtedly serious crimes against the law and order of policemen on official duty. Punishment for the killing of policemen is without question a reprehensible act in every legal and moral sense. We strongly condemn any such actions.

It is important to highlight the fact that the escape of some persons who are being sought by the responsible institutions in the Republic of Kosovo is only taking place in one direction: that of the territory of Serbia. The information of our bodies suggests that at least in some cases, these escapes were created, organized, co-organized and facilitated by criminal groups connected to power structures in the territory of Serbia.

This organization consists in giving the guarantee that for such persons the territory of Serbia, the criminal groups there, and certain levels of power, offer them protection from the criminal prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo.

The shield is not only given to non-extradition but to any informative cooperation with the justice bodies of the Republic of Kosovo. Such support is undoubtedly intentional, organized and related to the purpose of harming the public, constitutional and legal order of the Republic of Kosovo.

Offering the territory of Serbia as a shield against the prosecution of the criminal bodies of our Republic serves the crime and openly contributes to the violation of the institutional and legal stability of the Republic of Kosovo. The systematic frequency of these cases in this period has no other meaning than the aggressive political goal of our northern neighbor.

On the other hand, the use of the act of the criminal murder of the policeman by the interior minister in Serbia as the basic impetus for legitimization to create the need for a cause of counterattack against the Albanians and their institutions, or to create a circumstance of reconciliation with the events of unmatched in any dimension, is completely unacceptable and intentional. This rhetoric of the Government in Belgrade is a warning for future events cooked up in Belgrade that have a clear chauvinistic and ethno-political perspective.

A local and international investigation is necessary to investigate the systematic acts of incitement, organization and co-organization of the escape of prisoners, detainees and those wanted by justice in Kosovo, on the territory of Serbia, and the creation there of a protective environment against the impunity of criminal prosecution of criminals by the bodies of the Republic of Kosovo. As the Minister of Justice, I offer the full cooperation of our state in this regard. /Telegraph/
