Hansi Flick speaks about Julian Alvarez's cancelled penalty against Real Madrid

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick spoke at his press conference ahead of tomorrow's (Sunday) match with Atletico Madrid in La Liga.

The German touched on several points, including his view on Julian Alvarez's penalty incident against Real Madrid.

Flick was asked about the controversy surrounding the cancellation of Alvarez's penalty against Los Blancos, on the pretext that he touched the ball twice before it went in.

"What do you want from me? It was a very unfortunate situation. I feel bad for him, because he is very good, one of the best at the moment," Flick initially said.

"But I have nothing to comment on. I didn't make that decision. I feel bad for him," the Barcelona coach added.

Flick refused to criticize the referee, but made it clear that he sympathized with the player.

"It's just one of those things that can happen. It's unfortunate," the German concluded. /Telegraph/
