The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, spoke to the media after the meeting he held with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.

He announced that the date for new elections was discussed at this meeting, while accusing the Vetëvendosje Movement of bearing the main responsibility for the fact that the country is heading to elections again.

"We were at the meeting invited by the president of the country, we discussed the possible date of the elections," said Hamza.

"The main responsibility falls on the largest party in the country, as the country could have a president."

He added that the PDK was ready for a political agreement.

"We as PDK have been open to the country having a president. We have not set red lines for any partnership, but we have not accepted anything," the PDK leader emphasized.

"Our request was clear, to have a political agreement, then to give the names for president, but we had no agreement."

Hamza also emphasized that, according to him, there was no willingness for cooperation from the largest party in the country.

"Initially we didn't have names, as the largest party didn't want names from the parties. Moreover, they didn't even invite AAK to the meetings," he stated.

In the end, he stated that PDK will respect every decision of the institutions.

"We will respect any decision made by the Constitutional Court, but we believe that the President's decision was the right one, so we await the election date," Hamza added. /Telegrafi/
