Halle Berry 'broke' the dress code at Cannes with a dress that can't be ignored

Halle Berry is one of the big names to walk the red carpet at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival – and this time, the attention wasn't just for being Halle Berry.

The actress appeared at the premiere of Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning in a dress by Celia Kritharioti - a model with a corset and voluminous skirt, in pink, with a long black train.

The outfit, paired with Chopard jewelry and jeweled heels, was considered a bold choice — especially in the context of the festival's new rules.

Shortly before the festival began, organizers updated a document that included the rules of participation. Among the most important changes was the ban on nudity in any festival setting, as well as the following emphasis:

"For organizational reasons, dresses with excessive volume, especially those with long tails, that impede the movement of guests or create difficulties in seating, are not allowed. The staff is obliged to deny entry to the red carpet to anyone who does not respect these rules."

The dress, to be honest, is not modest at all. So, it's hard to say that Halle Berry followed protocol, but clearly, with this impressive look, she made the organizers forget about the rules.
