Halkbank donated the Financial Education Primer to first grade students

Sixth year in a row "Successful first grader" - Halkbank donated the Financial Education Primer to first graders
With the Financial Education Primer and school supplies, Halkbank warmly welcomed the first graders from the municipalities of Kisela Voda, Prilep and Berovo. The activity is part of the “Successful First Grader” initiative, which the bank has been implementing for the sixth year in a row, with the aim of supporting children’s education from an early age. This year, first graders were welcomed at their school desks with a package featuring the Halki elephant, a symbol of savings for children and the bearer of a large number of social responsibility activities of the bank.
The Financial Education Primer contains about thirty basic financial concepts, illustrated and explained in language understandable to first-year students. Through it, they can learn the basics of financial education and acquire useful saving habits.
"First Grader Success is one of our most beloved activities, because it is dedicated to first graders, who today, September 1, start a new chapter in their lives. Our goal is to send them a message through specially designed packages that learning new things can be fun and in this way they feel accepted in the new school environment. Halk's Primer is a unique publication that will enable first graders to learn something new and interesting about financial responsibility," said Maja Naumovska Saveska, Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing at Halkbank.
The "First Student Success" initiative is implemented annually in different municipalities from different regions of Macedonia. This year, Kisela Voda has been included among the municipalities of Skopje, where the activity will be implemented in all eight primary schools.
"Childcare is one of the pillars of the work of the Municipality of Kisela Voda and for this very reason we were pleased to be included in the Halkbank 'Successful First Student' initiative, which has traditionally represented the symbol of attention and dedication to the youngest. Education is not only what is acquired in school classrooms, but also the building of useful habits in children through examples of social responsibility and the creation of better conditions for their continuous growth and development. Only together, with the participation of all social factors, can we build a better community for our youth, for our future", declared Orce Gjorgjievski, Mayor of the Municipality of Kisela Voda.
Halkbank will also wish a good start to the first-year students in the municipalities of Prilep and Berovo.
"I am proud that the Municipality of Prilep joins this social initiative - 'Successful First Grader' of Halkbank. By donating packages to first graders, we together ensure that they have a happy and dignified start to the new school year. Of particular value is the fact that, in addition to basic school supplies, children also receive the 'Halki Primer', which introduces them to important topics of financial education from an early age," said the Mayor of Prilep, Borçe Jovçeski.
"Sincere thanks to Halkbank for the donation of school supplies for our youngest - first graders. This donation is a wonderful gesture and strong support for their first step in education. Together with such partners, we build a brighter future for children and invest in the most valuable - knowledge," said the Mayor of Berovo, Zvonko Pekevski.
In addition to "Successful first student", Halkbank through the elephant Petticoats silk carries out a large number of activities to support children and youth, which mainly focus on building positive habits of inclusion, protecting the environment, developing creativity and responsible parenting.
