Haliti unhappy with the elections: A large part of Kosovo remained unrepresented in the PDK parliamentary group

Xhavit Haliti from PDK, who did not receive enough votes to become a member of parliament in the last elections, spoke about the results of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the saga of the non-certification of the elections.

He said that in all past elections, the result was given almost on the first night and that the votes were counted at the polling stations.

"Now the new law has other complications, to have greater transparency, to have less opportunity to misunderstand whether there is misuse and theft of votes or not. All parties decided together, including PDK with its representatives who were there, they made this law. The law itself prolongs this issue," Haliti declared on TV Dukagjini.

"The vote counting was transparent and the remarks are what they are," he added.

Haliti said he is not satisfied with the election process.

"I am not satisfied. PDK entered the elections and had a project with which the party would have come out first."

He said that after the war they had more as a percentage than today, but if compared to the past elections, even today "we have more MPs than in the past elections."

"Compared to the past elections, we are better now and are the second party, despite our commitment to come first."

He said that there were no internal troubles in PDK, but there was internal competition.

"The law has made it possible to define these famous 10s."

He said that the votes were concentrated in candidates coming from those specific areas where PDK had the most voters.

"Unfortunately, a large part of Kosovo or a percentage of regions and municipalities have remained unrepresented in the PDK parliamentary group, just as they have remained in other parties."
