Hajdari: In difficult times we secured and consolidated the state reserve, indictment a biased process

The initial hearing was held today against the acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, and three other defendants, Irfan Lipovica, Hafiz Gara and Ridvan Muharrem, regarding suspicions of misuse of state reserves.
The session was held closed to the public.
After the end of the session, the acting Minister of Industry, Rozeta Hajdari, made a statement, emphasizing that she feels innocent and that the process against her by the Special Prosecution is biased.
"...I was in the Basic Court regarding the indictment against me by the Special Prosecution of Kosovo regarding the issue of state reserves, despite the fact that I feel completely innocent because it is a biased process by the Special Prosecution of Kosovo, violating every legal procedure and being in contradiction with the Law on State Reserves and the Law on the Protection of Classified Information," she said.
According to her, what is most important is that the citizens of Kosovo do not need to worry about consolidating the state reserve.
"But, most importantly, I want to emphasize that the citizens of Kosovo do not need to worry about consolidating the state reserve, which we increased many times over in the Kurti 2 government during the most difficult times, when the state reserve was unconsolidated and not in function of responding to citizens, and at a time when the borders were closed with the outbreak of war in Ukraine, and at a time when there was no export of basic products to our country," she said.
"....it is important to mention that for this extremely important process for our citizens, for the security of our people, however, the Prosecution violated the law as I have emphasized earlier, despite the fact that we are in legal proceedings with economic operators who have not fulfilled their obligations and there is an open legal process with these operators."
Minister Hajdari said that she and my defense are convinced of these illegal actions by the Prosecution and will prove it.
Otherwise, the indictment was filed on November 11 by the Special Prosecution of Kosovo, which accuses the minister of misusing state reserves.
The Kosovo Special Prosecution Office charged four people with the criminal offenses of "Abuse of official position or authority", "Disclosure of official secret" and "Assistance in the commission of the criminal offense of abuse of official position or authority".
Defendants Rozeta Hajdari, Irfan Lipovica and Hafiz Gara are accused of having abused their official duties during the months of February - March 2022 for the purpose of material gain for other persons, causing damage to the budget of the Republic of Kosovo of 2,912,134.78 euros.
According to the indictment, they also revealed the official secret of the location of state reserves, making this information available to defendant Ridvan Muharremi.
Muharrem is accused of aiding in the commission of these criminal offenses, by mediating, negotiating and recommending the selection of economic operators on behalf of state reserves.
The prosecution emphasizes that this process is part of the investigation into actions that have caused significant damage to the state budget and constitute a violation of the law on state reserves of goods. /Telegraph/
