Ilkay Gundogan did not allow Rodri to execute Manchester City's penalty against Aston Villa.
Pep Guardiola's side were leading by two goals when they were awarded a penalty for a tackle on Jack Grealish.
Rodri, who had scored the first goal, wanted to execute the penalty kick. However, Captain Gundogan did not allow him to do such a thing.
He took the ball from the midfielder and passed it to Riyad Mahrez, who converted to make it 3-0.
In the interview for Sky Sports, both Rodri and Gundogan were asked about the incident.
"It was clear and the captain decided, I have to accept the decision. He said that Riyad is the usual executioner, but I asked for him, because I was full of confidence at that moment, but I understand and accept the decision", explained Rodri. /Telegraph/
