A gunshot incident was reported on Wednesday, around 18:00, on the Gjilan–Kamenica road, near a gas station.
According to the Kosovo Police, as a result of the incident, one person ended up at the Gjilan Regional Hospital for medical treatment, while his health condition is being monitored by health authorities.
The spokesperson for the Gjilan Regional Police, Ismet Hashani, announced that police units immediately went to the scene of the incident, where during the examination, material evidence related to the case was found and seized.
"According to initial information, it is suspected that two moving vehicles were involved in the incident. As a result of the incident, one person sought medical assistance at the Gjilan Regional Hospital and is currently being treated by health authorities," Hashani stated.
He added that the Police, in coordination with the State Prosecutor's Office, are taking all necessary investigative actions and are searching for suspects in this case.
Investigations are ongoing, and police have not yet provided additional details about the motive for the incident.
