Governor Ismaili participates in meetings on the European Economic Perspective

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Ahmet Ismaili, participated in the meeting organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with the Governors of the central banks of Central, Eastern and Southeastern European countries, under the leadership of the Director for Europe at the IMF, Alfred Kammer.

This annual meeting, held behind closed doors in the framework of the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington DC, addressed the Economic Outlook for Europe, presenting current developments and expectations for key economic and financial indicators in the context of global geopolitical and economic dynamics.

The meeting served as an important platform for discussing economic challenges and opportunities at the regional level.


Following this, Governor Ismaili also participated in the meeting with the Ministers of Finance and Governors of Central Banks from the Western Balkan countries and Moldova, where the proposal for the establishment of the IMF's Southeastern Europe Technical Assistance Center (SETAC) was discussed.

The meeting, opened by Kammer and Deputy Director Mark Horton, addressed the main areas that will be covered by this Center, including monetary and fiscal policy, financial stability, financial supervision, financial statistics, governance, and the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
