Governor Ismaili meets the executive directors of the Constituencies at the IMF and the WB

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Ahmet Ismaili, accompanied by the non-executive member of the Board, Ms. Arta Hoxha and Deputy Governor Nesrin Shileku – Shala during the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), held important separate meetings with the Executive Directors of the IMF and WB Constituencies.

At the meeting with the Executive Director of the IMF Constituency, Yigit Yasar, the ongoing projects with the IMF were discussed, as well as further support for building the institutional capacities of the CBK and financial supervision. Governor Ismaili thanked Mr. Yasar for the continuous support provided to Kosovo within the framework of the IMF Constituency, of which our country is a member, the press release states.

Also, at the meeting with Nathalie Francken, Executive Director at the World Bank, the cooperation to date within the framework of financial sector projects was highly appreciated, including the project for the integration of Kosovo into SEPA (Euro Payments Area) and the development of the TIPS Clone fast payment system.

Governor Ismaili thanked Ms. Francken for the professional support that the World Bank experts have provided in drafting the legal framework and building capacities, as well as for the assistance in the implementation phase of the project, which represents an important step in advancing the country's financial system and facilitating services for citizens. /Telegrafi/
