Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova: I would like to find a solution with Bulgaria, there will be bilateral meetings

The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, hopes that there will be a solution to the problem with Bulgaria.

"Every time we talk about other things, we also talk about our fundamental problem, that it is high time for us to behave like two close peoples, Bulgarian and Macedonian, as citizens, with mutual understanding and respect in order to find a common solution," said President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova today in Veles at the national conference "Together We Are Stronger."

In response to a journalist's question regarding the phone conversation with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, the President said that she hopes that a solution to the problem will be found, because, as she said, it is no coincidence that we were destined to live next to each other, and even to understand each other.

"It is no coincidence that we were destined to live next to each other, even to understand each other, and I think that this connects us. We are both following that trajectory, slowly, peacefully, with understanding and respect. I hope we find a solution," said Siljanovska Davkova.

Asked if there will be a bilateral meeting, Davkova said that of course there will be, but she cannot say for sure at the moment.

"There will definitely be, but I cannot say in advance that it will be on April 4. The meeting is multilateral and there is always a debate about the process, where we are and what the threats are with growing radicalism, extremism and terrorism. We all know that the threats exist here and that when it comes to growing radicalism, extremism and terrorism, we must all come together and deal with them, because security, stability and peace depend on regional peace and security," the President said. /Telegraph/
