The State Police have announced that they have seized gold jewelry and wristwatches worth around 50 thousand euros, and in connection with this, 33-year-old QS has been arrested.
The press release states that the Morinë Border Police Services, following the controls to combat cross-border crimes, based on risk analysis and selective controls, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, have passed the "Audi" type vehicle, driven by citizen QS, to the second line for a more detailed control.
"During the search of the vehicle, the Police found gold jewelry and a wristwatch, which he had not declared according to the law. The jewelry was seized as material evidence, along with the vehicle," the announcement states.
At the conclusion of the procedural actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Kukës DVKM arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen QS, 33 years old, resident in Germany, for the criminal offenses of "Smuggling of other goods" and "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border".
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukës, for further action. /Telegraph/
