The new Mayor of Skopje, Orce Gjorgjievski, today officially received his mandate certificate and announced that the first major action to clean up the city will begin tonight, one of the main promises of his campaign.

"Officially, starting today, Skopje is opening a new page. The certificate I received is a symbol of the trust that the citizens gave me, but also a great responsibility to work with dedication and concrete results. I will be a mayor for everyone, without religious, national or party differences. For me, there is no division. My priority is a better future and a dignified life for everyone. You have my word," he wrote on Facebook.

Gjorgjievski announced that tonight, at 20:30 PM, the 72-hour action to clean up Skopje will begin. According to him, the reorganization of public enterprises will begin tomorrow to normalize the functioning of the city.

He announced that many new projects will be launched soon, including investments in infrastructure, education, sports and the environment, as well as the return of transparency to the work of the municipality.
