The Mayor of the City of Skopje, Orce Gjorgjievski, informed that 371 people have been laid off from their jobs at the Public Enterprise "Municipal Hygiene".
He made this statement from the scene of the incident, where the campaign to clean Skopje of garbage began, informs Telegrafi Makedonija.
He said that irregularities at work were identified among them, they did not go to their workplaces while receiving salaries, as well as other abuses.
"Municipal Hygiene vehicles were paid on behalf of individuals who received intellectual services worth 5 to 10 thousand euros. I announced an audit and, as of tonight, we started it," said Gjorgjievski.
He invited institutions to take action tonight against all violations and abuses. /Telegraph/
