Germany bans sales of OnePlus phones

It's not that common for European countries to ban the sale of a particular brand of phone - but that's exactly what happened in this case.

In Germany, respectively, the sale of phones of the OnePlus brand (as well as the umbrella brand Oppo) is prohibited, and the reason for this decision by the Berlin authorities is a court dispute over a patent, Telegraph reports.

OnePlus was recently banned in Germany due to a similar dispute with Nokia, but now they are in a lawsuit against InterDigital over key patents related to 5G and other mobile technologies.

Because of all this, the OnePlus online store in Germany does not sell smartphones, although it seems that all other products are still available.

It is not clear when Germany will lift the ban, and the OnePlus company said that they "value the intellectual property" and that they "will continue to negotiate with InterDigital" to find an "amicable solution". /Telegraph/
