German journalist severely insults Osmani, President's advisor and analyst Mujanovic reacts: Your language is shameful

Rinor Nuhiu, advisor to President Vjosa Osmani, and Bosnian analyst Jasmin Mujanović have reacted sharply to the statements of German journalist of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), Michael Martens, regarding President Osmani.
Martens initially wrote that there is a fine line between representing state interests and what he called “intellectual self-abasement,” accusing President Osmani of “scandalous” behavior and claiming that she is acting for personal political interests.
In another comment, he claimed to be quoting a Kosovar journalist, who according to him had written that Osmani was acting in an unacceptable manner and was attempting to exert pressure on the Assembly.
These statements were strongly opposed by Rinor Nuhiu, who denied Martens' claims and described the language he used as insulting and denigrating.
Calling a head of state who is looking after the national interests of her country a "self-degrading prostitute" is vile and disgusting.
This says everything about you and the rot in your vulgar thinking.
This is sick. You must be ashamed of yourself. https://t.co/ZEYBgHoAzC

Nuhiu emphasized that agreeing with language that labels a head of state with offensive terms shows, according to him, a serious lack of moral and professional compass.
"Calling a head of state who cares about the national interests of her country a 'self-degrading prostitute' is shameful and disgusting. This says everything about you and your rotten and vulgar mindset. This is sick. You should be ashamed of yourself," Nuhiu wrote.
The clash between them continued even further, after Martens responded to Nuhiu in ironic tones, inviting him to discuss, according to him, President Osmani's "shameful and anti-European behavior" at a public meeting in Berlin.
Nuhiu reacted to this comment again, emphasizing that President Osmani is one of the most clearly pro-European leaders in the region, underlining that under her leadership Kosovo has fully aligned with the foreign and security policies of the European Union.
Meanwhile, Bosnian analyst Jasmin Mujanović has demanded a public reaction from the German newspaper and to distance itself from the statements of its journalist, assessing that the use of such language towards the President of Kosovo is unacceptable and violates basic standards of public debate and professional journalism.
"You can have any opinion about Osman's politics. But for the German journalist often called the chief German journalist for the Western Balkans to say that she is engaging in 'self-degrading intellectual prostitution' is highly inappropriate. This requires a public reaction and distancing from FAZ," Mujanović wrote.
You can take whatever view you want of Osmani's politics. But for the man often styled as the leading German journalist of the Western Balkans to claim she is engaging in "self-degrading intellectual prostitution" is wildly inappropriate. This demands a retraction @faznet. pic.twitter.com/Y9G8LWJLEY

The debate has sparked numerous reactions on social networks and has opened broader discussions on the limits of media criticism and the ethics of public communication towards institutional representatives. /Telegrafi/
