Gavi calls Lamine Yamali the best player in the world, avoids comparison with Messi
Barcelona midfielder Gavi has praised teammate Lamine Yamal, describing him as the best player at the moment.
However, Gavi was quick to dismiss any comparisons between Yamal and the legendary Lionel Messi.
"Comparing Lamine to Messi is pointless. There will never be another player like Messi," Yamal initially said.
Instead, Gavi stressed the importance of individuality in football, saying: "In the end, everyone builds their own style and writes their own story."
However, Gavi's admiration for Yamal is clear.
"For me, Lamine Yamal is the best player at the moment. I hope he continues like this," concluded the Barça star. /Telegraph/
