Galatasaray is the champion of Turkey for the 25th time, Fenerbahçe "empty-handed" for 11 consecutive years
Galatasaray players are champions of Turkey, as the Istanbul giant showed more than anyone else this season and deservedly celebrated the new Super League champion trophy.
With a 3-0 victory over Kayserispor in the 34th round of the Turkish Super League, Galatasaray mathematically secured the title of Turkish champion.
On the other hand, Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahçe remained "empty-handed" despite the 2-1 victory, thus continuing a "fast" that has lasted for 11 long years.

Too long for such a big club, but Galatasaray was a much better rival throughout the season and in the end deservedly celebrated the title of Turkish champion.
Since the Turkish Super League has been played in this format (since 1959), Galatasaray has 25 titles and Fenerbahçe 19 in total.
Galatasaray achieved today's victory thanks to goals from Victor Osimhen, Baris Yilmaz and goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, who scored a penalty kick in the 89th minute.
