Starting Monday, the police will launch an operation to temporarily ban electric skateboards, which are now considered a danger and source of accidents.
The news was announced by Interior Minister Albana Koçiu and State Police Director Ilir Proda.
"STOP ELECTRIC SKATEBOARDS - New rules for public safety. 991 cases reported by emergency services are more than enough to immediately stop this dangerous innovation in the road traffic of our cities, until a strict regulation based on international best practices is drafted," writes Prime Minister Edi Rama.
