Presidential candidate, former MP and university professor, Ljubomir Frckovski has reacted regarding the jurisprudence exam for Albanian students, saying that this topic must not become political collateral in daily politics in Macedonia, reports Telegraph Macedonia.

"The opening of the possibility for the bar exam to be given in the Albanian language is taking on political dimensions, often as a clash line between the expansion of the use of the Albanian language and the official use of the Macedonian language. This, of course, is also taking on political dimensions in the Government and the clash is turning into something that should not be done under any circumstances, and is likely to become more severe," Frckovski told Nova.

"I think that, despite this, and without wanting to comment now on the Law on the Use of Languages, which is in procedure before the Constitutional Court and on which those who oppose the right for the bar exam to be given in the Albanian language are relying - among them the Minister of Justice - we should focus directly on the constitutional and legal possibilities and arguments. They show that the bar exam can be given in the language in which the person, namely the candidate, has followed legal education," adds Frckovski.

Frckovski said that preventing this right for students is discrimination and is unconstitutional. “The removal of the right to take the bar exam in Albanian, namely in the language in which they were educated, constitutes discrimination and is an unconstitutional category. This right to take the bar exam is, de facto, a private right of students and is not related to the place where they will work in the courts,” Frckovski said, among other things. /Telegraph/
