Referee analyst at Radio MARCA, Perez Burrull, has commented on the controversial episode at "Metropolitano", where Pau Cubarsí's goal was disallowed in Barcelona's decisive victory.

Seven minutes after Cubarsi scored to make it 4-1, referee Juan Martínez Munuera disallowed the goal after a VAR signal, with Pablo González Fuertes in the booth.

Speaking on Radio MARCA's "Marcador" show, Burrull gave his interpretation of the situation.

"Having watched the action several times, I can only understand the decision if offside was signalled after Lewandowski's second touch, at which point Cubarsí was very close to the line and slightly offside. However, it is a very complicated decision," he said.

According to the analyst, the episode could have been interpreted differently, even giving an example.

"I am more inclined to think that the play should have been analyzed from Lewandowski's first touch. At that moment, Cubarsí was in a regular position," Burrull emphasized.

This decision has sparked numerous reactions and discussions, as it came at a moment when Barcelona wanted to soften the result and the match was heading towards the end. /Telegraph/
