The Veles Police Department filed a criminal complaint against a person from Čaška for the criminal offense of "abuse of official position and authority", who, while he was mayor, acted in violation of the Law on Civil Servants and paid 10 employees in the municipality money based on their salary for a career as a civil servant, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

"SPB Veles, to the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office of Veles, filed a criminal complaint against GS (47) from Çashka due to suspicion that he has committed the criminal offense of "abuse of official position and authority" under Article 353 of the Criminal Code.


In the period from January 2021 to December 2024, GS, in his capacity as mayor of the municipality of Čaška, acted in violation of the Law on Civil Servants and in several cases paid 10 persons employed in the municipality of Čaška money from the municipal budget account based on a career salary for a civil servant, even though he knew that they did not meet the conditions for a civil servant. Meanwhile, one person, in violation of the Law on Labor Relations, was enabled to be paid an additional salary, even though the conditions were not met, the Ministry emphasizes.

In this way, as stated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the defendant has enabled 11 employees to benefit materially and caused damage to the budget of the municipality of Čaška in the total amount of 725.562 denars.

Also, as they point out, for a job position that according to the systematization act provided for a job position, GS issued a decision for the job position for one of the employees even though that position had already been filled. /Telegrafi/
