Former Real Madrid player hits back with statement: Here's why Messi is better than Ronaldo

Former Argentine footballer Ezequiel Garay is the latest in a series of debates he has been involved in regarding who is better, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
As a reminder, Garay played for Real Madrid for three years, from 2008 to 2011, which allowed him to see Portuguese superstar Ronaldo up close.
He saw CR7's away debut in Madrid, after which he became Real Madrid's all-time top scorer with 450 goals in 438 appearances.
This defender played 32 matches for Argentina and made his debut for the national team in 2007.

He previously helped Argentina win the U20 World Cup in a team that featured Messi and Sergio Aguero.
The 39-year-old has no doubts about his choice when it comes to the debate over who is the best.
"Number one is Leo and number two is Cristiano, without a doubt. They are two very different players, but the one that surprised me the most is Leo. I was lucky to play with both of them, and Leo is something else," Garay told DAZN.
Garay tried to balance this claim by stating that Messi impressed him more in a "pure sense of football".Telegrafi/
