Former NATO chief: I can't promise that the US will stay in NATO

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General from 2014 to 2024, has spoken in an interview about the recent tension between Donald Trump and Europe.
"I can't promise that the US will stay in NATO. No one can," Stoltenberg, who currently serves as Norway's finance minister, told German magazine Der Spiegel.
He said European countries "must do everything they can to reduce the risk of the US leaving."
However, Stoltenberg added that he supports Europe's current approach to countering Trump in his aspirations to buy Greenland from Denmark.
Regarding this, he said that "the most important thing now is to prevent further measures" by the US.
Otherwise, Trump said that Greenland is vital to US national security and confirmed that discussions with NATO are ongoing regarding the territory. /Telegraph/
