Footage emerges of the moment of the accident where two young girls from the municipality of Kamenica lost their lives

Footage has been released of the moment when a car carrying three girls, two of whom lost their lives today, swerved off the road on the Domoroc - Hodonoc road in Ranilug, trying to avoid being hit by a concrete mixer truck.

Footage posted on social media shows the moment when the concrete mixer truck suddenly makes a left turn, while the car that was moving at a high speed (in which the three girls were, two of whom died) loses control and ends up off the road to avoid the collision.

Kosovo Police have announced that in the accident that occurred today on the Domoroc - Hodonoc road axis in the municipality of Ranilug, two girls were killed and one was injured.

It is known that as a result of investigative actions by the Regional Road Traffic Unit, inspection of the scene, examination of cameras and collection of other evidence, by decision of the State Prosecutor, suspicion has been raised that "we are not dealing with a self-inflicted accident, but with a traffic accident where it is suspected that the truck driver, aged 55, as a result of unsafe turning, obstructed the movement of the vehicle which was overtaking, where the driver of the vehicle, due to the failure to adapt the speed to the road conditions, lost control of the vehicle in an attempt to avoid hitting the truck and ended up rolling off the road".

"The suspect, by decision of the State Prosecutor, has been detained for 48 hours, while the bodies of the victims have been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy," the Police statement said. /Telegraph/
