Florentino Perez has decided to leave Real Madrid before the end of his term, announcement coming soon

Legendary Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has decided to step down before the end of his term, Spanish journalist Pepe Alvarez has reported.
Perez was supposed to remain president of Real Madrid until 2028, but he has decided to leave the position next year.
The 78-year-old will announce his decision at the club's general meeting next week.
💣 FP tiene decidido leave the presidency of the RM during the next year even though its mandate does not end until 2028. I would like to see an orderly succession regardless of whether the partners support the referendum or not.

Florentino Perez first became president of Real Madrid in 2000, when he created the team known as the "Galacticos".
His first term ended in 2006, but he returned just three years later and remains in the position of Real president to this day.
It is not yet known who might succeed him, and it is most likely that he will oversee the process of selecting his successor and will actively participate in it. /Telegraph/
