Floods in several regions in Kosovo, IHMK warns of rising river levels

The Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute has announced that incessant rainfall over the past few days has caused local flooding in several areas of the country.
The western regions have been most affected, including Gjakova, Junik, Deçan, Malisheva, Klina, as well as the central part of the country, where several rivers and streams have overflowed their banks.
According to the IHMK, rainfall, which has varying intervals and intensity, is expected to continue over the coming days. This may cause local flooding, communication problems, traffic difficulties, as well as blockages in sewage systems.
Currently, the country's main rivers, especially those in the central, eastern and southern parts, including the Ibri, Sitnica, Lepenci and Morava e Binça, are showing slight increases in water levels.
The institute has called on citizens to exercise increased caution when moving, avoid crossing flooded roads and follow authorities' announcements regarding emergency situations. /Telegraph/
