Flight to Cyprus forced to divert due to 'drunk' passenger - tourists stranded for hours

A plane bound for Cyprus was forced to divert to Greece due to a 'drunk' passenger, leaving passengers stranded for hours.
Flight LS721 departed Edinburgh Airport yesterday afternoon bound for Larnaca, foreign media reported, according to Telegraph.
But the pilots were forced to divert the plane to Thessaloniki on mainland Greece.
This is due to the fact that, as it is known, a male passenger was drunk and became disruptive during the flight.
As it is further reported, Greek police officers boarded the plane and spoke to the passengers - while the man was reportedly removed from the plane.
The plane was supposed to land at its first holiday destination in Cyprus at 22:00 p.m. local time last night.
But the plane did not depart from Thessaloniki until 12:30 this morning.
The tired vacationers arrived at their destination around 2 a.m. /Telegraph/
