"Failed fishing", Lushaku: Two LDK MPs were contacted by LVV

Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu has stated that the parliamentary group of this party is united and is not facing any internal pressure, despite attempts to "fish" individual MPs.

In a statement to RTV21, Lushaku-Sadriu said that two LDK MPs were contacted earlier, but they gave the right response and did not waver in their stance.

She described the LDK parliamentary group as politically consolidated and without any internal dilemmas.

"We have no concerns within our parliamentary group, we don't even feel it. We are a very compact political group, with a majority of young MPs, there are no dilemmas. Earlier, two LDK MPs were contacted, but they received the right answer," she said.

Lushaku-Sadriu also assessed that the real problem lies with the Vetëvendosje Movement, which, according to her, is facing a lack of a parliamentary majority and for this reason is attempting to block the process in the Kosovo Assembly.

"We think that, as it is, the party with the largest number of votes has the obligation to propose a candidate for Speaker of the Assembly. The real problem of this party is that, seeing that it lacks numbers, it is trying to obstruct the Assembly of Kosovo," said the LDK MP.
