Fillkov: We do not depend only on the Prosecutorial Council for the dismissal of Ljupco Kocevski

Minister of Justice Igor Fillkov has said that even if the Council of Public Prosecutors gives a negative opinion on the proposal for dismissal of the state public prosecutor, this does not mean that the procedure is over.

Fillkov emphasized that every opinion from the Council of Public Prosecutors is important for this procedure, but explained that the Ministry of Justice and the Government will not be guided solely by the opinion of one body if, as he said, people who do not professionally fulfill their mandate are supported.

"The Ministry of Justice and the Government have an obligation to take all legal measures and respect the process foreseen in the Law on Public Prosecution, including the possibility of initiating proceedings before the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia," Filkov said.
