The Municipality of Ferizaj has reacted to reports and images circulating in the media and social networks regarding the condition of the former "Gjon Serreçi" school building, clarifying that this building is not under its management, but under the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture as a cultural heritage object.
According to the official announcement, the facility has not been administered by the Municipality for several years, but is under institutional protection at the central level.
The Municipality of Ferizaj emphasizes that the attribution of responsibility to the local level is incorrect and that citizens should be accurately informed about the legal and institutional status of the facility.
The municipality has announced that it has repeatedly requested permission from central institutions to intervene in this space, with the aim of regulating it and eliminating any potential risk to citizens and the surrounding environment. However, so far these requests have not been approved.
